Lee Starnes is a commercial and editorial photographer based between Vietnam and Southeast Asia, with over two decades of experience capturing people, place, and process. His work blends cinematic composition with honest storytelling.
From street portraits in Saigon to campaign shoots across the world, Lee’s approach is rooted in collaboration, honesty, and the need to tell compelling narratives. His clients range from global brands and NGOs to independent makers and musicians.
When not in the studio, he’s teaching travel photography workshops all over Asia with Pics of Asia. Pics of Asia focuses on ethical travel photography and creating meaningful experiences for both photographers and the people they meet on their travels.
He’s traveled all over Asia Pacific shooting stories for Conde Nast, The Guardian, CNN, Zeit, NZZ, the Vietnam Board of Tourism, as well as hotels and restaurants all over the region.
